Rotary and Mission Systems' Training, Logistics and Simulation (TLS) business is Lockheed Martin's center of excellence for training and logistics products and services, serving the U.S. military and more than 65 international customers around the world. Based in Orlando, TLS develops programs that teach service men and women skills to accomplish their most challenging missions - flying the world's most advanced fighter aircraft, navigating ships and driving armored vehicles. TLS is the corporation's hub for simulation, X reality, live-virtual-constructive capabilities, advanced training devices and full-service training programs. TLS also provides sustainment services such as supply chain and logistics IT solutions, spares and repairs, as well as automated test and support equipment. This is a position for a Software Engineering Lead on F35 Pilot Training Devices (PTD) as part of the Operational Baseline Integrated Product Team (IPT). As the Software Engineering Leader for the IPT team, you will: Be accountable for the Operational Baseline Integrated Product Team's (OB IPT) overall Software engineering technical, capability, and schedule performance. Oversee the closure of Software Pre-Release Bugs (PRBs) Act as the single POC/Lead for the Software Engineering activities on the IPT Ensure that the program's Software Engineering processes/procedures and other required process assets are defined and followed Address staffing, resource, and infrastructure needs for Software Engineering on the IPT team Be responsible for Software Engineering cost, schedule, and technical performance at the IPT level Guide program development of the Software Engineering portion of program's multi-functional resource/schedule estimates at the IPT level Be responsible for the development of Software Architecture at the IPT level Champion continuous improvement activities for the SW Engineering discipline and adopt 1LMX techniques and approaches at the IPT level This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin. Basic Qualifications: 6+ years of experience working on a Software Program with heavy Hardware dependencies. Experience with GitLab, including version control, CI/CD, and issue tracking Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and continuous integration Experience maintaining software metrics for a program and using metrics to lead a team of software engineers. Desired Skills: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, such as Math, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or other engineering disciplines Familiarity with software development utilizing Agile processes and common technology stacks Experience with DevOps tools, including Ansible and GitLab Prove experience implementing improvements across IPTs Experience with proposals and writing/submitting Basis of Estimates (BOEs) Experience with infrastructure automation with proficiency with ansible, gitlab, and nexus Experience writing Ansible Playbooks to manage configurations and baselines Security+ is a strong desire, Linux+ desired Strong knowledge and experience with scripting including Windows(Powershell)/Linux(shell scripting) Experienced Windows Domain/Active Directory Administrator This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
