Robot Service Technician
We're supporting an exciting pilot program and hiring hands-on, reliable Robot Service Technicians to assist with self-driving food delivery robots in Bloomington, IN. This is a contract role ideal for people with experience in automotive, mechanical, or electrical systems who want to help deploy innovative technology. Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations Deploy robots each morning (insert batteries, run diagnostics, report readiness) Swap batteries, monitor status, and ensure smooth operation throughout the day Keep work area clean and manage inventory of parts and tools Maintenance & Repairs Assemble wiring harnesses, connectors, and install sensors (LiDAR, cameras, etc.) Diagnose and fix breakdowns using hand tools, diagnostic software, and multimeters Perform service campaigns to upgrade parts or install new hardware Field Support Respond to robot issues in the field (approx. every 3 days) Retrieve or repair robots onsite with provided tools Mount and test experimental modules as needed Requirements
Skilled with tools, multimeters, and diagnostic software Ability to read 2D mechanical diagrams and follow detailed procedures Mechanically inclined and comfortable with hands-on work (e.g., repetitive repairs) Valid driver's license with a clean MVR (past 12 months) Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs Independent, reliable, and eager to learn Preferred Experience
Robotics, automotive repair, or electronics background Experience in technical or shop-floor environments Leadership, management, or operations experience is a plus Benefits (through staffing agency):
