Therapist Position

We're seeking a trained and compassionate therapist to join our team in Columbia, MO. In this rewarding role, you will help individuals, families, and couples address and overcome various mental health challenges by providing a range of therapeutic services such as counseling, psychotherapy, and behavior modification techniques. As a therapist, your primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose, and treat clients/patients based on their individual needs, utilizing evidence-based interventions to enhance their overall well-being. Position perks and benefits: $1,000 sign on bonus Highly competitive salary - based on licensure level Employee benefits package - health, dental, PTO, & more Opportunities for professional growth and development A supportive work environment that values collaboration, creativity, and employee wellness The satisfaction of knowing that your work makes a real difference in the lives of individuals and families Key responsibilities: Provide individual, group, family, and/or practical counseling in a variety of settings to meet the needs of clients/patients Complete intake/screening and comprehensive assessments within appropriate time frames as designated by state standards Determine and document diagnoses based on thorough assessments Develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with agency standards Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings and provide feedback on pertinent cases Meet department-specific collaborative service goal (CSG) requirements Maintain positive professional relationships with referral sources, clients/patients, and coworkers, adhering to code of ethics and agency policies/procedures Actively engage in crisis situations and participate in coordinating emergency services Assist clients/patients through transition processes and complete final correspondence Complete all mandatory training in compliance with state standards Represent the agency within the community in a professional manner Education and/or experience qualifications: Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field Holds appropriate licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) in good standing with the applicable board of professional registration Willingness to become licensed in additional states and to provide telehealth services Strong passion for working with diverse populations and commitment to promoting positive change in their lives Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Expertise in diagnostic criteria for individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders Knowledge of caseload management and treatment principles as they relate to mental health services Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned programs Strong capability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively, producing concise reports Employment requirements: Successful completion of a background check including criminal record, driving record, and other checks Compliance with mandatory training, including first aid and CPR certifications within stipulated time frames Understanding of collaborative service goals within 30 days of employment [Include additional employment requirements as necessary] Physical requirements: ADA consideration - sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may include brief periods of walking or standing.
