The School-Based Mental Health Therapist will provide specialized mental health services to children and adolescents within a school setting, collaborating with students, families, and school staff to facilitate optimal emotional and educational outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct initial intake and assessments to determine student eligibility for mental health services. Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy tailored to child and adolescent developmental needs. Develop comprehensive Treatment Plans collaboratively with students, guardians, and treatment teams. Deliver crisis intervention and conduct risk assessments, responding effectively to urgent mental health needs. Collaborate actively with school staff, participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP), 504 meetings, and behavioral team consultations as required. Coordinate scheduling to minimize classroom disruption, facilitating effective service integration within school hours. Document clinical interventions, client progress, and therapeutic outcomes accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR). Facilitate utilization of community resources, initiating and tracking referrals to enhance student and family support. Participate in ongoing supervision, professional development, and training opportunities to maintain clinical excellence. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, CARF, OhioMHAS, and relevant Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) regulations. Regularly evaluate client satisfaction and program effectiveness, contributing to TBMHC's continuous quality improvement processes. Education and License Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health field. Active licensure in the State of Ohio as an LSW, LPC, LMFT, LISW, LPCC, or IMFT. CANS certification preferred. Experience Requirements

Demonstrated experience providing therapy or counseling to children and adolescents. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, conflict management, and case management principles. Ability to conduct thorough and effective client assessments and therapeutic interventions. Previous experience in school-based mental health settings preferred.
