Product Design Engineer - Softgoods

At least 3 years of experience in production part design utilizing a variety of engineering materials. Good engineering fundamentals (beam bending, free body diagrams, GD&T, etc). 3D and 2D CAD skills (NX preferred). Solid verbal and written presentation skills (Keynote or Powerpoint). Experience using spreadsheets to analyze engineering data using statistics (FAI/CPK, tolerance analysis). Experience engaging with manufacturers. Creative problem solving, with experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and DOE creation. BS in Mechanical Engineering Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of soft goods materials (synthetics, leather, adhesives). Knowledge of soft goods assembly process (bonding, cutting, stitching). MS degree in Engineering. Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
