People | Excellence | Change | Integrity | Co-prosperity The Sales Director will be responsible for the development, sales, relationships, and directing the overall product strategy for the Refrigeration category at The Home Depot account ($1 billion+ revenue). This individual will engage with the customer's merchant, supply chain, operations, and marketing organizations to drive sales results. This position is responsible for the growth, success, and development of team strategy and is a key leader for the Atlanta based multi-functional account team. Based in Atlanta, GA, the account sales and support team consists of 20+ individuals supporting The Home Depot business. This customer is key to Samsung's home appliance portfolio and is a high profile role within the home appliance business unit. This position reports to the Vice-President, The Home Depot account within the home appliance business unit and is responsible for the following: Set and achieve customer-specific targets and other mutually established metrics with VP, Sales. Ensure that the Voice of the Customer relative to Sales is clearly understood across all parts of Samsung. Explore unmet needs with key decision makers and communicate them as potential opportunities for innovation and/or value added services. Anticipate and proactively identify opportunities to leverage sales growth. Develop a high performing sales team towards solution selling in a complex environment. Help lead customer-specific annual account plans for sales and annual contracts. Develop and "own" relationships with assigned firm key decision makers and executives. Respond to concerns from executives and key decision makers. Exercise leadership and business judgment on all contracts, and work collaboratively with customers, Samsung to get mutually acceptable pricing/terms. The Director, Sales will be responsible for new business development, marketing coordination with the Marketing organization as appropriate. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of related experience Prior experience managing a sales team, selling at C Level and Peer level account planning Proven ability to successfully develop, improve and own a customer relationship and account management process Strong track record of building collaborative relationships with internal peer groups and external customers and partners Executive presence and experience to leverage resources based on both influence and authority Proven contract negotiation and sales experience Ability to identify service and support risks Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite Must have demonstrated project and program management skills Characteristics Candidate should be: highly motivated and self-driven Strong process oriented thinker Organized, detailed, goal driven, and achievement oriented Able to critically evaluate and question data and plans Able to think strategically and tactically Comfortable with a highly dynamic and changing work environment Competitive, strong desire to "win" Preferred Qualifications: Develop and maintain excellent working relationships and influence skills with all appropriate levels within and outside the company. Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Demonstrate competency in both oral and written communication modes for internal and external personnel at all levels, especially in the sales, services, solutions, logistical, or financial areas of clients, prospects, and company. Manage team effectively including tracking to KPIs and MBO, provide regular feedback and performance reviews, develop talent and manage risk. Ability to negotiate on behalf of region to come to agreement on all solutions strategy, goals, and objectives.
