Elastic Consulting Architect

Endgame Systems, LLC, a subsidiary of Elastic, is focused on Government services and is growing the Federal Consulting Team to support our Department of Defense customers. A minimum of active U.S. Federal TS/SCI clearance is required and you will be delivering consultancy engagements onsite, in So Cal. As an Elastic Consulting Architect, you will be working closely with our customers to provide technical solutions for their business use cases with the Elastic Stack. What You Will Be Doing: Lead Elastic consulting services remotely and on-site to drive customer business value from our products Solution design, development, and integration of Elastic products and services, platform architecture, and capacity planning in mission-critical environments Development of demos and proof-of-concepts that highlight the value of the Elastic Stack Data modeling, query development and optimization, cluster tuning and scaling with a focus on fast search and analytics at scale Engaging with other consultants to solve technical issues in a team oriented environment Author and generate technically articulate post consulting reports What You Bring Along: Active U.S. Federal Secret security clearance Required location: So Cal Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Systems Engineer/Administrator, Network Engineer/Administrator, Cloud Engineer/Administrator, or closely related experience Minimum of 2 years experience as a consultant, technical instructor, or closely related experience Proficient at working directly with customers to gather, prioritize, plan and execute solutions to customer business requirements as it relates to our technologies Proficient with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems with CLI experience Knowledge of information retrieval and/or analytics domain Ability to self enable on our ever growing technologies Good verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS Elastic installation and configuration experience ECK/Kubernetes or Rancher experience Ansible Bonus Points: Experience as a technical instructor or public speaker to large audiences on enterprise infrastructure software technology to engineers, developers, and other technical positions Proficiencies in Ansible, GitHub, VSCode, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes Experience with at least one programming language to include Java, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python Experience with at least one database system to include SQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, MongoDB, or similar NoSQL type databases Familiarity with network data, cyber security data, and system logs Understanding of Elasticsearch or similar distributed datastore technology Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or relevant field Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Analyst, Elastic Certified Observability Engineer Join Elastic's Federal Consulting Team and help public sector organizations solve their most complex data challenges using the Elastic Stack. Compensation: Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.
