House Manager/Nanny
A busy, professional family of three in Manhattan is seeking a highly organized and proactive house manager/nanny to oversee the smooth day-to-day operations of their home and provide after-school support for their 5-year-old. The schedule will be full-time, from 8/8:30-5 pm, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent attention to detail, able to anticipate needs, and maintain a calm, solutions-oriented presence in the household. Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate daily household operations, including scheduling vendors, deliveries, and repairs. Maintain household organization and inventory of supplies (groceries, package receipts & returns) Manage family calendar and appointments Provide attentive, engaging care for one school-age child during afternoons and school breaks Assist with school pick-up, playdates, activities, and homework routines Ensure the home is tidy and organized Run errands, such as grocery shopping, returns, and dry cleaning Prep healthy family dinners and child-friendly snacks Qualifications
35+ years of experience in a similar combined role (household management and childcare) Excellent references from previous private families Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Tech-savvy and comfortable with apps, calendars, and smart home systems Requirements
US passport, Green Card, or EAC, and be able to pass a background check Basic cooking skills and prior childcare experience are a must. Passport ready and willing to travel, if required Proactive and resourcefulable to work independently and take initiative Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Warm, engaging, and confident with children Comfortable setting and maintaining household structure and routines Discreet, professional, and respectful of family privacy Available to start ASAP Salary and Benefits
Up to $135,000 per year Two weeks paid time off, six paid holidays, sick days, and a $400 healthcare stipend
