Behavioral Interventionist
Montessori Magnet School seeks a behavioral interventionist to design and implement behavioral plans for the 2025/2026 school year. The qualified candidate will assist with student behavioral issues and daily functions of classrooms. The candidate will utilize our MilePosts web-based system to develop, implement, monitor, and present behavior intervention plans. In addition, the candidate will work collaboratively with parents to develop strategies for behavior management within the home. Keeping track of student progress and collaboration with classroom teachers and support staff is a critical part of the job. This individual will play an essential role in our Early Intervention Planning (EIP) Team, provide group and individual instruction as needed, and provide professional development to staff. Administering assessments, and performing daily before, midday, and after school duties are all expectations for this position. Each day begins at 8:30 and concludes at 4:15. Knowledge of Montessori pedagogy is preferred. Experience working in an educational setting preferred. This position requires patience, flexibility, and strong organizational skills. The preferred candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, staff, and parents. Requires an undergraduate degree, social work or counseling concentration and experience with a diverse student population preferred. This position is an hourly, 10 month position.
