Linux Engineer

OPS Consulting is seeking a Linux Engineer to work in Laurel, MD. Responsibilities: Responsible for analyzing, designing and executing the requirements of the Linux Solution to include Red Hat and Rocky Linux in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems Analytically and systematically evaluates problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action Responsible for the system requirements, interface definitions (internal as well as external) Manages team's full life cycle system implementation efforts Subject matter in one or more Linux Technologies to include integration points and adjacent technologies Provide reach back to Red Hat and/or CIQ rocky Linus engineering in order to obtain and/or request hotfixes, future enhancements, or product road map visibility Must be knowledgeable of the following: Red Hat Linux, Rocky Linux, Ansible, Network Automation, System Automation Linux scripting Required Skills: Experience developing technical plans for complex capability development Demonstrated expertise in test plans, procedures, and test result analysis Experience writing, reviewing, and presenting technical documentation at the program level Experience with system design and requirements management Experience overseeing technical reviews Level 1: Minimum of seven 7 years of relevant SE experience. BS in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Level 2: Minimum of 14 years of relevant SE experience. BS in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Level 3: Minimum of 20 years of relevant SE experience. BS in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Security Clearance: A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
