In this role, you will be instrumental in stabilizing and optimizing our supply chain to enable uninterrupted production of the materials that power the technologies of tomorrow. You'll tackle complex sourcing challenges, reduce cost pressures, and help build the infrastructure that turns raw inputs into high-impact critical metals. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver breakthrough technology at scale, cleanly and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate supply chain activities based on real-time usage data and forecasted volumes for BOM components, consumables, and spare partsIdentify and develop strategic suppliers for Phoenix Tailings' high-risk commodities (e.g., large weldments, furnace components, graphite)Leverage vendor relationships to reduce lead time risk and minimize cash outlays without compromising quality or deliveryOwn and manage inventory levels using ERP systems to prevent downtime due to shortages, defects, or line falloutLead consumables cost-reduction initiatives with a goal of reducing costs by 10% per quarter to drive margin improvementsSource and qualify new materials through supplier networks that can extend component life in high-temperature and corrosive environmentsMaintain supply chain continuity during scale-up by aligning procurement timelines with production schedules and engineering releasesEnsure accurate tracking of materials and parts through lifecycle from PO to point-of-useQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or manufacturing operationsUnderstanding of production methods across diverse material types (e.g., machined steel, graphite, ceramics, tungsten, alumina)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Experience with supplier quality practices including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and inspection criteriaProficiency with ERP systems and data-driven inventory management practicesStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaboration across internal teams and with external suppliersComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment where urgency and quality go hand-in-handExceptional project management skills, with experience managing complex, multidisciplinary initiatives.
