Math Interventionist
PLA's Math Interventionists (MI) are instrumental in increasing scholar motivation and supporting the educational growth of scholars throughout our schools. Math Interventionists continually analyze scholar data to determine scholar needs. As a Math Interventionist at Phalen Leadership Academies, you will work with varying groups and grade levels of scholars, rotating among classrooms, to support scholars with math skills. Key Deliverables: Responsible for ensuring each scholar increases by a minimum of 10% proficiency in math per year on the state accountability assessment Meet with assigned scholars daily for 30 minutes of Tier 2 instruction Implement, with perfect fidelity, our Tier 2 curriculum, Math Intervention Meet with scholars who are significantly below grade level every day to close gaps achievement gaps Track growth data and ensure 100% of the scholars you serve either meet or exceed expected annual growth gains Analyze data daily to make informed decisions that connect data to responsive teaching Utilize instructional strategies and research-based intervention curriculum materials to meet the learning needs of identified scholars Collaborate with classroom teachers, building administrators, and parents as needed to support the learning and growth of scholars Build confidence, and relationships, and encourage progress for scholars Use data-driven instruction to help close the achievement gap of identified scholars Serve as a key member of the MTSS Team in the building Coordinate groupings and rotations with TOR, SPED, IA, and other supporting staff Observe, quantify, and document student progress in numeracy skills, mathematical competencies, and mathematical practices Utilize the online Data Management System, where available, to share data and monitor individual student and group progress Other duties as assigned Experience and Education Requirements: Certified Educator Experience working with math intervention programs Proven success in raising scholar achievement Understanding/previous experience with the MTSS process providing individual support for scholars Compensation and benefits: PLA's Math Interventionists receive a base salary that is competitively aligned to the market.
