Student Transportation of America, doing business as Diversified Transportation, is actively seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our team in Elko and Winnemucca, NV. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing transportation projects, ensuring seamless coordination, and fostering operational efficiency. Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates not local to the area. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the execution of various transportation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all safety and regulatory requirements standards Collaborate with internal teams, including dispatch, safety, and operations, to ensure smooth project execution Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration Monitor project progress and performance, adjusting as necessary to stay on schedule and resolve issues promptly Ensure all project related documentation, reports, and records are maintained accurately Conduct project risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, offering coaching and performance evaluations Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout all project phases Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to ensure project success Attend meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, manage expectations, and resolve any conflicts Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management and/or operational management Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations, DOT compliance, and industry standards Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on timelines, budgets, and quality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and external clients Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office applications Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) Ability to travel as needed for project oversight The road to a new career starts with STA!
