TMEIC
Cybersecurity Technician
Implement, test, and maintain cybersecurity controls in industrial automation and control systems (IACS) in both lab and field environments. Provide input for the development and sustaining of cybersecurity objectives on project and development networks and computer infrastructure. Conduct testing and evaluation of cybersecurity solutions and software patches in a controlled lab environment to validate functionality, compatibility, and security posture before deployment to operational systems. Develop, update, and implement cybersecurity processes and procedures aligned with IEC 62443 standards, including secure integration practices, configuration baselines, and technical documentation under the direction of Cybersecurity Engineer or management. Administer and manage lab-based virtual machines (VMs) and network infrastructure, including provisioning test environments, maintaining system images, applying updates, and configuring simulated ICS/OT network topologies. Ensure cybersecurity systems are operative, and security technical objectives are met, escalating to Cybersecurity Engineer or management as necessary. Assist in the development and maintenance of system-specific security documentation, including asset lists, system architecture diagrams, and cybersecurity posture assessments. Perform vulnerability assessments, baseline comparisons, and configuration audits under the direction of cybersecurity engineers or leads. Conduct client-site cybersecurity audits to assess and document the current cybersecurity state of the IACS and the secure commissioning of systems in the field, ensuring that security baselines and hardening guidelines are applied. Provide technical guidance to commissioning engineers and clients during system installation using remote diagnostic capabilities when possible and traveling to site to provide direct support when necessary. Troubleshoot cybersecurity-related issues, both remotely and on-site, including problems related to access control, endpoint protection, firewall rules, patch deployment, system hardening, and logging/monitoring tools. Collaborate with engineering, IT, and cybersecurity teams to ensure lab environments and field deployments reflect real-world operational scenarios and security requirements. Document test procedures, findings, configuration changes, and remediation actions to support continuous improvement and audit readiness. Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager. Give manager best advice. Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified. Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager. Exemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal Commitment. Comply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and laws. Recommend viable improvements proactively. Ensure effective utilization of business tools and processes.
