We are expanding our team to serve the needs of our community in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri area! Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is excited to announce an opening for a CDL Driver. COMC is looking for an individual who is a reliable self-starter for this position. The CDL driver will be responsible for moving our Medical, Dental, and Optometry Mobile Units on an as-needed basis between locations within our service area of Pulaski, Miller, Morgan, Camden, and Laclede counties. Mobile units will typically require relocation in the evenings and over weekends, as directed by the COMC. Variations of this routine may be required as needed by COMC. Contractor is responsible for coordinating their own pickup from each delivery location. Driver will be paid a flat rate for each Mobile Unit Moved. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Drive Mobile Units to their destinations as directed. Obey traffic laws, and following established traffic and transportation procedures. Read maps or use GPS and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Inspect vehicles, such as mirrors, lights, gas gauge, temperature gauge, tires, turn signals, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Ensure that vehicle has adequate gasoline. Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. Report delays, accidents, or other traffic/transportation situations. Use professional communication methods and techniques to include maintaining positive and professional language and demeanor at all times. Qualifications Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Confidentiality is mandatory. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid CDL driver's license and current automobile insurance. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Ability to drive daily on established routes and follow established laws and safe driving procedures and practices. Ability to evaluate weather conditions and recommend canceling of delivery service. Read maps or use GPS and follow written and verbal geographic directions. Excellent oral communications skills for the purposes of conveying information and instructing others while maintaining a strong customer service focus. Display professional business attitude with a pleasant demeanor while working in a customer service oriented organization. Insurance: Candidate must provide their own Commercial Automobile Liability Insurance policy for each vehicle used in the performance of the duties hereunder, and Surety Bond. Language Skills: Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies. Mathematical Skills: Ability to use common math. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Physical Demands: This position requires extensive periods of sitting while driving up to and some days in excess of 100 miles. It also requires repetitive use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, reaching, pushing, grasping, hearing and talking. Requires the ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
