Per Diem Anesthesiologist Opportunity
Founded in 1935, the not-for-profit Columbus Regional Healthcare System (CRHS) started as a 12-bed hospital in a Victorian home in Whiteville. Today, the modern 154-bed facility of CRHS is known for its skilled and dedicated medical providers, who represent a range of specialties. General, peds, vascular, robotic, urologic, orthopedic, and gynecologic surgery Shifts: TBD Leadership: William Obrecht, MD Team Highlights: Our group consists of four anesthesiologists and seven CRNAs who work together in a care team model. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence. Requirements: Responsibilities: Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements: M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician Lifestyle: Whiteville, NC: The small community of Whiteville features a warm climate, a family-oriented lifestyle, and southern-style hospitality. It is about an hour away from Myrtle Beach, a popular Atlantic Coast destination, and from the port city of Wilmington. Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina, is about two hours away.
