Job Summary of the Human Resource Business Partner
The HR Business Partner is responsible for aligning organizational objectives with employees and leadership across designated client groups. The HRBP partners closely with business leaders to drive both long-term and short-term talent and performance management initiatives, while also delivering a comprehensive range of HR services including employee relations, performance management, program implementation, and talent analytics. Reporting to the Director, Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness, the HR Business Partner serves as a collaborative force across all levels of the organization, ensuring that HR solutions support both business goals and employee success. A strong understanding of the business landscape and sharp HR acumen are essential to thrive in this role Requirements of the Human Resource Business Partner
Bachelor's degree required; Background in Biotech, Medical device, or pharmaceutical industry preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issue; with experience in data driven decision making. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and leadership capabilities required. Proficiency in MS office, HRIS platforms, and other HR related application required. Ability to exercise the highest level of confidentiality, privacy, problem solving, coaching and mentoring. Preferred certifications include SHRM-CP, PHR, and/or credentials in HR analytics Responsibilities of the Human Resources Business Partner
The specific duties of the Human Resources Business Partner include but are not limited to: Collaborates with the Talent Management team to build support within the organization for Human Resource strategies and initiatives. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions. Partner with business unit leaders to strengthen working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Maintains current knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including EEO, ADA, and Affirmative Action and offers appropriate guidance to ensure compliance. Prepare and maintain accurate employment records (example: hiring, termination, leave, transfers promotions), using HRIS systems, safeguarding data integrity. Serves as a trusted liaison between management and employees interpreting policies and resolving work related issues. Monitor employee trends and leverage analytics to support data-driven decision making. Drive employee engagement initiatives, including survey participation and action planning within business units. Maintain industry and legislative awareness to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices. Investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues in coordination with the Employee Relations Specialist. Participates in cross-functional HR projects beyond assigned business units.
