Product Quality Engineer

We immerse ourselves in our customers' world, reveal unknowns and deliver integrated solutions. EControls is looking for a Product Quality Engineer to join our growing manufacturing team. Responsibilities:

APQP: Advanced Product Quality Planning Process flow diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans & Work Instructions Review drawings, routings, work orders, work instructions and various related production and development plans for quality requirements BIQ - Workplace and material layout designs (Tools / Fixtures / Cells) Support New Product Development and Continuous Improvement Efforts Develop and execute plans for quality control to ensure constant manufacturing continuity and product conformance Review, and ensure execution of quality control plans RTF (Rolled Throughput Failure) Metric monitoring, reporting, and problem solving Non-conformance / Improvement Activities Define and implement purge and sort activities including containment test procedures to control non-conforming material Problem Solving: Apply 8D / PDCA Methodology to investigate all Customer complaints and internal issues Generate meaningful Quality Alerts to clearly communicate issues to the operations team Develop and monitor statistical process controls utilizing appropriate quality tools plus statistical techniques to drive pro-active responses to emerging concerns PPAP (Production Part Approval Process): Qualification of manufactured products Change management: Support execution of SBR, ECR/ECO, DCO, DEV, 8D, NCR and Inspections Support Manufacturing Operations Collaborate with SQEs on supplier component issues Education:

B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or B.S.E.T. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of high-volume Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing, preferably for manual assembly applications Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) training or certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, MSA, Fault Tree Analysis, DVT (Design Verification Testing), Product Return Rate Analysis, FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System) and Root Cause Failure Analysis, DOE Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including global customers, design/production engineering, and manufacturing teams Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies Experience supporting ISO, TS, CSA, and/or UL Performance Characteristics:
