Job Title: Full Stack Software Developer (mid-level)
Direct Leader: George Livingston, Senior Director of Product & Software Development
Work Schedule: M-F, ~40 hours range per week
You're Probably a Match If:
You have 4 years of software engineering experience You have strong full stack experience (we primarily use NextJS, NestJS, TypeScript, Vercel, AWS, Godot) You have a desire to work in the code daily; you are highly adaptable...we switch focus areas often!! You have previous experience leading processes and mentoring other engineers You have excellent problem-solving skills, love teamwork, and have a positive approach toward overcoming business challenges You have a willingness to develop business acumen and domain knowledge in our products You are someone with a high sense of agency, someone who can think through problems and solve them from multiple angles (i.e. technology, operations, stakeholders, etc.) You have worked in a small, dynamic team environment (our team is small and mighty; the 5 of us have worked together for 4 years with 0 turnover or drama) What Winning Looks Like:
Take on technical challenges outside of current realm of expertise to level up in craft Develop domain knowledge across TEG product lines Identify problems and opportunities by participating in stakeholder meetings Apply business and domain knowledge when designing technical solutions to business problems Embody the "Heart of a Teacher" when working with other developers, helping the team overall improve their craft Consistently delivering on high quality, reliable software solutions in a timely manner Focus on safely shipping code, keeping integration testing, documentation, extendability and scalability in mind Other Info to Note: We're looking for people who are passionate about our mission, vision and values. This isn't just a J-O-B. Open to remote for the right person, but our team (and company) is based in Middle TN and prefer this role to be as well.
