The position will exercise professional independent judgment regarding complex Elections processes in accordance with Chapters 99-106, Florida Statutes, and Section 1S-2, Florida Administrative Code. Communicates in writing or via phone calls with candidates, sitting officials and committee officers, and other government officials regarding filing documents, qualification requirements, petition requirements, confidential credentials and campaign finance reporting, documents communications and results in the database account. Assists candidates, and committee and party officers, in filing campaign finance reports in the Electronic Filing System (EFS). Conducts quality assurance reviews of state, federal, multi-county and judicial candidate filing documents, as well as political committee and electioneering communication organization filing documents for determination of statutory and rule compliance. Produces correspondence related to those filings. Researches multiple databases, imaging system and documentation to gather decision-making information for purposes of resolving campaign account and/or legislative office account issues. Updates databases with new account information or changes to the account information. Prepare referrals for the Florida Elections Commission. Prepares political committee notices of cancelation. Prepares final orders. Reviews documentation and inputs valid contributions for the Public Campaign Finance (Matching Funds) for candidates for offices of Governor and cabinet. Participates in candidate qualifying. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of administrative practices & office procedures. Ability to use Microsoft Word. Ability to prepare correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to investigate subject matter and prepare reports. Ability to review information for statutory compliance. Knowledge of auditing principles preferred. A Level 2 criminal background check is a condition of employment. If selected for this position, you must provide your fingerprints.
