HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Human Resources team as a Benefits and Leave Analyst. The Benefits and Leave Analyst is responsible for administration, compliance and strategic oversight of all HWI's benefit and leave of absence programs in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring alignment with federal, state and local regulations. This position provides daily support and education to employees and managers by answering questions, researching solutions, interpreting policies and related administrative tasks. Responsibilities: Managing daily operation and administration of all HWI leave of absence (FMLA, STD, LTD, Military, Parental) and workers compensation programs and processes to include issue resolution, communications with third party administrators and managers for every location, strategy for claim management, return to work process, processing of invoices, negotiating claim settlements (with support from Legal Department on complex claims as necessary), tracking leaves in accordance with applicable state/local leave laws, and support compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Liaise with third-party leave of absence and workers compensation administrators and internal team members to optimize the leave administration experience. Lead the implementation, management, and communication of state-mandated leave programs, including state specific sick time and paid family leave. Responsible for the creation and implementation of state specific leave policies. Collaborates with internal HWI departments (payroll, HRIS, Operations, EHS, Legal, HR) to ensure accurate processing of leave-related pay and benefits to ensure accuracy and data integrity of HWI's HRIS systems. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Assisting with the daily operations and administration of HWIs health and welfare plans, 401(k) plans, well-being initiatives by providing employee and manager customer service related to general benefit questions, life events, benefit enrollments, open enrollment and e-mail and phone support. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field Requires two (2)

four (4) years of progressive experience in corporate employee benefit and leave administration. Health, welfare, leave of absence, and workers compensation knowledge Understanding and application of U.S. and Canadian employment laws, ERISA, FMLA, EEO, etc. Written and verbal communication skills, including presentation planning and delivery Ability to interpret and calculate complex benefit plan features Strong analytical/financial skills to determine impact of recommendations, etc. Proficient in Microsoft products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint Oracle Cloud (or other HRIS system) knowledge Physical and Environmental Requirements: Physical Activity: Requires more than 2/3 of time standing, sitting, walking and talking or hearing; 1/3 to 2/3 of time using hands/fingers to handle and/or feel and reaching with hands and arms; less than 1/3 of time climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Lifting: Requires lifting up to 50 pounds less than 1/3 of time. Vision: Requires accurate close and distance vision. Environment: Requires more than 2/3 of time in an office setting with very limited exposure; 1/3 to 2/3 of time working near moving mechanical parts; less than 1/3 of time in wet or humid conditions. Noise: Requires exposure to moderate noise conditions.
