We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator platform with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Senior Accountant to support our mission. This role is based in San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model. About the Team

The Senior Accountant will be a part of the Accounting team, reporting to the Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting Manager while also heavily participating in general ledger/close activities. About the Role

The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the monthly close process, financial reporting/technical accounting function, and other accounting projects and initiatives by: Preparing month-end journal entries and associated reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP and company policies Performing trend analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring all significant fluctuations are explained and supported Driving process improvements and automation initiatives to gain efficiencies in the close timeline and our overall control environment Providing support for the annual financial statement audit and statutory audits to ensure timeliness and quality of audit deliverables Assisting in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures Collaborating with cross-functional teams including FP&A, FinOps, Tax, Legal, IT, HR, Payments, Facilities, and others Assisting in the implementation of new accounting policies and memo documentation of new and current policies Performing ad-hoc accounting requests as needed About You

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent, CPA preferred 3+ years of public accounting and/or industry experience Strong understanding of areas such as cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, intercompany, equity, and financial reporting Detail-oriented with strong problem solving, analytical, and communication (both verbal and written) skills Ability to adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality and accuracy Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides) Experience with NetSuite ERP system preferred Patreon powers creators to do what they love and get paid by the people who love what they do. This range may encompass multiple levels within the role's job family. The final offer will be based on candidate's experience, skills, competencies, and geographic location, aligning with the appropriate job level within Patreon's leveling framework.
