Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) / Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
We are seeking a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our team in Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and providing valuable diagnostic information to support patient care. Job Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank. Analyze test results, prepare reports, and interpret findings. Ensure accuracy and reliability of results through quality control procedures. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure proper calibration and functionality. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and staff education. Collaborate with healthcare team members to support patient care decisions. Qualifications:
Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) certification required. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field for MT/MLS. Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field for MLT. Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred, but not required for entry-level applicants. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
