As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting our day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in invoices and payments, and maintaining healthy cash flows that support our dynamic operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the accounts receivable, excel proficiency, exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, understanding of the importance of financial processes and procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. This will be a part-time role between 20-25 hours each week. In office from 9am-1pm Monday through Friday. In This Role You Will:
Ensure accurate and timely recording of customer invoices, payments and collections Monitor and track outstanding customer balances and ensure payments are accurately applied Follow up on overdue payments and send payment reminders to customers Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and collections Conduct analysis of accounts receivable data to identify trends and areas for improvement Maintain accurate transaction logs Follow cash management procedures and comply with relevant regulations Assist with month-end closing procedures Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency Perform other related duties as assigned You'll Be A Great Fit If You Have The Following:
1-2 years in relevant accounting experience (in cannabis is a plus!) A strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) Familiarity and comfort using technology, software and platforms, IE Microsoft SharePoint, Sage, POS, etc. Exceptional detail orientation and organization to ensure processes, procedures and communications are accurate and timely in a dynamic, fast paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills An approach to tasks with curiosity A quick learner with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of processes and procedures The ability to work independently and collaborate in a team-oriented environment Integrity and respect in all interactions, fostering a positive and supportive work environment The highest standards in every aspect of your role The ability to adapt to and drive change with enthusiasm Interview Process: At Grn, we go through the same interview steps for all AR Associate candidates to ensure equity in our hiring process.
