Community Based Doula

The Community Based Doula will provide emotional support, physical comfort and information to the birthing person and her family during the prenatal, labor & delivery, and postpartum periods. Must be available to assist with prenatal, labor and birth, as well as postnatal services as needed and must have a flexible work schedule based on the needs of the program participants. Doula will assist with a minimum caseload of 20-22 births for the length of the grant, ending September 2025. Bilingual Required: English/Spanish Salary: $23.62 per hour Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexibility Spending Account, Life and LTD Insurances, 403(b) plans PTO: Vacation, Sick, Personal, Wellness, and Holidays Responsibilities

Meet with participants for a minimum of eight visits, lasting a minimum of 1.5-2.0 hours, in both prenatal and postpartum periods. (six visits in each period is preferred) Assist families in initiating and strengthening the parent-child relationship. Identify needs and refer families to additional community resources, including healthcare and basic needs. Refer families to Case Manager for more intense needs. Assist families in establishing a birth plan and increase the family's ability to problem solve and advocate for themselves and their children, especially during the birth process. Be on-call 24/7 to respond calls/texts. Must be available for support clients in between visits at any time (emails, calls, texts). Be on-call and available to leave for the hospital to attend and support the laboring mother and her family during the intrapartum, and immediate postpartum period. Respond call/texts from Supervisor at any time. Have daily check ins with Supervisor by call or text. Participate in meetings, conferences, webinars, trainings and check in, etc. as needed. Prepare, organize and provide informative lives in Facebook/Private Group. Keep records in accordance with organizational polices, protocols and regulations set by accrediting agencies. Enter all necessary data into the agency's designated database system no later than 24 hours from interaction with client. All doulas employees must complete Capital Health Hospital's requirements to be able to obtain their badge while is a CHSofNJ employee. Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma Must be trained and certified in the Health Connect One (HC1) Community-Based Doula curriculum.
