Interventional Radiographer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Interventional Radiographer
to join our team in Kissimmee, FL. This role is responsible for performing specialized
interventional and vascular imaging procedures
to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The
Interventional Radiographer
will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, and provide high-quality imaging while maintaining a
patient-centered approach . Key Responsibilities:
Perform
interventional and vascular radiographic procedures
following established protocols. Assist physicians with
angiography, stent placements, embolizations, biopsies, and other image-guided procedures . Operate and maintain
fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography (DSA), and other specialized imaging equipment . Monitor and ensure
radiation safety
for patients, staff, and oneself, following ALARA principles. Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring
comfort and proper imaging . Administer contrast media under physician supervision and monitor patient reactions. Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and imaging data. Collaborate with
radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
to provide optimal patient care. Stay up-to-date with
new interventional radiology techniques and technology . Qualifications:
Education: Required:
Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field Preferred:
Bachelors Degree in Radiologic Sciences or a related field Experience: Preferred:
1+ years
of experience in
interventional radiology or special procedures Will consider candidates with
less than 1 year of experience
if they have other
imaging experience Licensure/Certification: Required:
ARRT Certification in
Radiography (R) and Vascular-Interventional (VI) or Cardiac-Interventional (CI) Required:
Florida Radiologic Technologist License Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
from the
American Heart Association Preferred:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS ) Certification This is an excellent opportunity to join a
