Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Engineer - Guidance Navigation and Control. This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Manhattan Beach, California and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You'll Get To Do: Work in multi-disciplinary teams to develop, verify, and validate a complex 6-degree of freedom missile flight simulator. Design and implement guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) algorithms. Develop software tools for analyzing GN&C performance Conduct system performance assessments for performance against mission requirements. Perform GN&C system and accuracy analysis of flight tests. You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of relevant experience, 3 years of experience with a Master's degree Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs Experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have: Active Top-Secret Clearance Understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture, MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc.) or other architecture modeling tools Experience with SysML, UML, or other modeling languages Experience using tools to model large systems with multiple developers Experience in Software and/or Hardware design Experience in documenting Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specifications, and Interface Description Documents Position Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $165,500.00
