Deputy Title IX Coordinator
The Deputy Title IX Coordinator is responsible for conducting investigations pertaining to reports under the umbrella of civil rights compliance (e.g., Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, Power-Based Violence, VAWA, and Clery), including record keeping, training, and outreach to the University community, intake, and implementing supportive measures as well as other duties as assigned. Responsibilities include: Collaborate and consult with the Title IX Coordinator regularly to monitor and manage Title IX incidents to ensure an efficient and effective response to reports and complaints. Serve as the Title IX Investigator for all cases alleging violation of the Sexual Harassment and other Prohibited Conduct Policy, Power-Based Violence Policy, and Non-Discrimination Policy; Interview the impacted party, respondent, and relevant witnesses. Gather relevant evidence. Act as a neutral party through all aspects of the investigation and ensure a prompt, fair, and neutral process for all parties. Advise impacted parties and respondents of their rights. Maintain a high level of confidentiality during all proceedings, Ensure a well-documented Title IX investigative process. Maintain accurate and thorough records and notes of the investigatory process. Create comprehensive written investigative reports for the Title IX Coordinator that clearly identify the issues investigated, summarize the evidence, and recommend appropriate remedial steps. Provide periodic, timely updates regarding the status of complaints received and investigations in progress to the Title IX Coordinator. Collaborate with the Title IX Coordinator to identify and address any systemic problems. Assist the Title IX Coordinator with the development and implementation of a comprehensive university Title IX training program for students, faculty, and staff. Assist the Title IX Coordinator with the development and implementation of a case management database to organize, manage, and track all Title IX incidents. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
