Responsibilities: Currently, this position reports directly to the College's CFO. The Fiscal Coordinator will assist in the management of state, federal, local, and institutional funds through accurate and efficient recording, classification, control and reporting of revenues and expenditures and perform a variety of duties. Duties must be performed in accordance with general statutes and state, local, federal, and institutional policies, procedures, guidelines and are subject to annual audit. Exercise independent judgment in accordance with established policies, procedures, and/or government regulations ensuring all applicable deadlines are met and payments are made on a timely basis. Creates and enters journal entries into the College's accounting system. Performs monthly bank reconciliations. Assists in reconciling monthly account payable checks by entering reconciled checks into the College's accounting system. Assists with preparation for audits. Maintains accounting, auditing, and journal entry files. Perform assigned Grant Maintenance Duties. Assists with EAGLE auditing processes and procedures with guidance. Completes and assists with assigned monthly reports, researching, and pulling data, among other tasks. Assists the College's CFO in financial matters of the College by learning all Business Office responsibilities and services. Performs other tasks as assigned by the CFO. Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft 365. Working knowledge of office equipment (i.e., copiers, fax machines, scanners, etc.). Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing. An ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse educational, social, and/or economic levels. Understand and commit to the philosophy of community college education. Detail oriented and highly organized. Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent critical thinking skills. Skilled in math and/or accounting. Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in business or related field from an accredited educational institution. Three years of full-time verifiable accounting experience. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel components of Office 365. Preferred Qualifications

Baccalaureate in business or related field from an accredited educational institution. Three years of full-time accounting experience. At least two years of community college experience.
