Dental Business Assistant
Dental Business Assistant works with administrative scheduling, including maintaining office records, documenting patient dental treatments and transactions, following office procedures for patient referrals and scheduling of office appointments. Salary: $18.02 to $22.86 Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Appointment Scheduling & Front Desk Duties:
Set and confirm appointments, manage cancellations and follow-ups, greet patients, ensure smooth patient flow, answer calls promptly, and verify dental insurance benefits. Financial Management:
Handle daily collections, post payments accurately, manage insurance claims and follow-ups, arrange financial plans, send statements, and oversee accounts receivable and collections. Marketing & Patient Relations:
Maintain new patient records, send thank-you and referral letters, and manage communications to enhance patient engagement and retention. Office Operations:
Oversee recall and preventive maintenance systems, maintain organized records and inventory, coordinate scheduling changes, support office cleanliness, and assist with general administrative tasks. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills A friendly, positive demeanor with patients and supported dental office team members Great administrative organizational skills Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of dentistry and dental procedures Exceptional customer service skills Dental experience a plus Education and Experience: Minimum high school diploma. Associates degree preferred, but not required Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands Usual office environment. Manual dexterity
Visual and auditory acuity Able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
