Senior Director, Accounting

The Senior Director, Accounting will serves as a key strategic leader within the Finance Function, responsible for all aspects of Accounting Operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable), General Ledger Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting and Financial Reporting for assigned business units and geographies, as applicable. Key Responsibilities and Duties Act as Senior Finance Leader in Geography, responsible for the Leadership and Development of 40+ Accounting and Finance professionals. Serve on Regional and Global Leadership teams, developing and implementing strategic roadmap centering around people, process and technologies for all assigned functions. Responsibility for the timely and accurate production of all accounting records, results, financial statements and other financial reporting for assigned subsidiaries and geographies in accordance with IFRS and Group Reporting guidelines, as applicable. Developing, maintaining and overseeing an effective system of accounting systems, policies, procedures and controls to maintain compliance with all statutory, legal and corporate requirements. Oversight of all Accounting Systems, General Ledger and Fixed asset Accounting, including but not limited to the maintenance and oversight of assigned general ledgers, monthly close processes and related systems and procedures. Oversight and management of all internal and external financial audits. Developing and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement of People, Process and Technology striving for efficiency and effectiveness across assigned areas of responsibility. Develop and maintain Accounts Receivable function, with a focus on limiting risk and maximizing collections while maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Leadership of the Accounts Payable organization, with a focus on timely and accurate payments, accruals and compliance, while designing systems and processes designed to prevent and mitigate any fraud. Management and oversight of all key Finance Applications within scope of assignment, including but not limited to ERP's (SAP, Oracle, etc), Blackline, AP and AR automation, etc. Development of people within organization, with a focus on enablement, empowerment and progression across all direct and indirect reports. Prepare and manage departmental budgets for all assigned cost centers. Support M&A (Buy & Sell side) activities as required. Work on special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors in Accounting or Finance Required Masters in Business, Accounting or Finance Preferred 10+ years Progressively responsible accounting experience 4+ years in Public accounting experience, Big 4 a plus 2+ years in Supervisory experience in accounting Experience in manufacturing environment Certified Public Accountant preferred Self-starter, demonstrates initiative and ability to lead through change and complexity Ability to interact with all levels within the organization, with an emphasis on executive level presentations Excellent skills in oral and written communication Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Detailed oriented, organized and has strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet tight deadlines Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Must be capable of working both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team Computer skills (Microsoft Windows and Office programs) 25% Travel will be required
