We are excited to announce we have an opening for a Part-Time Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist position at Gastroenterology Group of Northern New Jersey in Englewood and Englewood Cliffs, NJ. About the Role: The Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist position is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. This role involves managing patient appointments, coordinating schedules, and providing essential support to medical staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing patient experience by ensuring timely and efficient scheduling of services. Additionally, this position requires maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with administrative tasks to support the overall workflow of the clinic. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant will contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care and operational efficiency within the organization. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in scheduling or administrative roles. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience. Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems. Bilingual skills are a plus. Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate patient scheduling for appointments, procedures, and follow-ups. Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments, insurance, and any necessary pre-visit instructions. Support the medical team with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and inventory management. Skills: The required skills for this position include strong organizational abilities, which are essential for managing multiple schedules and ensuring that appointments are handled efficiently. Excellent communication skills are necessary to interact with patients and healthcare providers effectively, providing clear information and support. Attention to detail is critical in maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with EHR systems, will enhance the candidate's ability to navigate patient information quickly and accurately. Additionally, bilingual skills can improve patient interactions and broaden the accessibility of services offered.
