Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights: Position
: Rehabilitation Technician
Location
: Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst IL
Per Diem/PRN
Hours
: Weekend shifts only, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Minimum of 1 weekend day shift per month. 2 Holidays per year.
What you will do: Under close supervision, cleans and disinfects assigned areas according to prescribed
procedures. Assists
in preparing equipment for patients' use, maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and equipment, and replenishes supplies as
needed. Transports
patients to and from department as needed and performs general clerical duties such as answering phones, taking and relaying messages, and the like. Assists in wound care and dressing applications and changes in hydrotherapy.

: Requires a high

school level of communication and/or math skills but no technical training prior to hire and less than three months of previous experience plus approximately one to three months of on

Certification
: Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross required
Experience
: Some analytical ability is required but in situations where the problems are not difficult or
complex. Analysis
requirements generally limited to collecting available factual information and responding to it based on clear precedent or procedures.
Unique or Preferred Skills
: Work requires the ability to walk or stand for an hour of more at a time, lift or carry objects weighing more than 20 pounds, push or pull laundry or supply carts, gurneys or wheelchairs, and lift and position patients. Work requires the ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. This includes knowledge of the physical and psychological needs of patients served and the ability to respond appropriately to those needs.
