Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Strategic Deterrent Systems division has an opening for a Principal/ Sr Principal Proposal Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Division Capture Excellence team in our Huntsville, Alabama or Roy, Utah facility. The selected candidate must be able to work on site and be willing and able to travel if needed (up to 10%). Flexible/hybrid work arrangements may be possible at times and will vary based on proposal. The proposals we work on may include top priority wins, competitive pursuits, and sole source efforts. Candidates for this position will demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced across leadership, collaboration, innovation, communication, project management, risk management, and proposal-based capabilities. Customer satisfaction is a top priority, and qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience working multiple projects simultaneously, performing to tight deadlines, possess excellent project management and time management skills, detail oriented, and solid communication skills. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the Capture and Proposal Manager in development of efficient and effective proposal execution plans in response to solicitations from U.S. Government and other customers. Understanding of proposal operation's role and responsibility within the Government Acquisition process. Provide support to the proposal team by developing, reviewing, and submitting proposals that effectively represent the proposal strategy and baseline. Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated with demonstrated abilities to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines. Ability to manage responsibilities independently with minimal or no day-to-day supervision. Work with the Capture and Proposal Manager and core team to develop the compliant proposal deliverables. Support Digital Transformation Office (DTO) projects that support capture and proposal management. Support Division proposal process, template, training, and tool development. This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. You'll Bring These Qualifications: Principal Proposal Analyst:
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of government contracts, subcontracts, estimating and pricing, finance, business administration or other related experience OR a Master's Degree with 3 years OR PHD with 1 year OR 4 additional years in lieu of degree of related experience Sr Principal Proposal Analyst:
Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of government contracts, subcontracts, estimating and pricing, finance, business administration or other related experience OR a Master's Degree with 6 years OR a PHD with 4 years OR 4 additional years in lieu of degree of related experience Required for Both Levels: Experience reviewing, understanding, and responding to customer requests for proposal (RFPs) Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 1 year of experience with the U.S. Government's acquisition process including federal procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR) Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance
