Social Work Supervisor Queens Community House

QCH is seeking a Social Work Supervisor with a strong commitment to supporting and advocating for older adults. This role oversees the Case Workers providing social service support to participants across six Older Adult Centers (OACs) and one Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NORC), as well as overseeing the implementation of our Geriatric Mental Health Program. Reporting to the Multi-Site Director of Senior Centers & Services, this position supervises five case workers and works across the following sites: Forest Hills OAC Jamaica OAC Kew Gardens OAC Pomona OAC Queens Center for Gay Seniors Rego Park OAC Forest Hills NORC This position is funded annually through NYC discretionary funding, which QCH has consistently received for many years. Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and group supervision to Case Workers, including performance evaluations. Coordinate Case Workers schedules across multiple program sites. Travel between sites to provide oversight and support. Carry a small caseload of OAC clients. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual service reports. Assist staff in managing complex participant situations and provide short-term counseling when needed. Arrange and/or provide in-service training for staff. Advocate and intervene with external agencies and act as a liaison with other programs and resources. Ensure case work services meet the cultural needs of diverse populations served. Oversee the integration of geriatric mental health services into OAC programming. Liaise with program funders to ensure contract compliance. Monitor deliverables and prepare regular reports. Participate in conferences, trainings, and meetings as required. Provide staff coverage across OAC sites as needed. Qualifications Required
MSW (or currently enrolled in MSW program). 2+ years experience working with older adults in an older adult center or similar setting. 2+ years supervisory experience (managing case workers, case aides, interns, or volunteers). Knowledge of local, state, and federal benefits/entitlements for older adults. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams. Commitment to confidentiality and professional discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); database experience (PeerPlace preferred). Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Bengali. Experience with Department for the Aging (DFTA)-funded programs. SIFI Certification. Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $68,000
$70,000 annually (commensurate with experience). Status: Full-Time, Monday
