Program Manager IV, Respiratory Therapy Research

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Program Manager IV, Respiratory Therapy Research to join our team at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world class and caregivers are family. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in respiratory therapy research, including developing and conducting Institutional Review Board (IRB) research protocols, publishing research in scientific journals, and collaborating with healthcare providers to advance clinical knowledge in respiratory therapy. This position will report to the Senior Director of Operations and will play a pivotal role in overseeing respiratory therapy research activities, mentoring caregivers, and representing the organization at industry conferences. A caregiver in this position works days, 8:00am-5:00pm. No weekends or holidays. Key responsibilities include: Research and Publication: Develop, conduct, and manage IRB-approved respiratory therapy research protocols. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals to advance the field of respiratory therapy. Ensure compliance with IRB guidelines and maintain ethical research practices. Oversee respiratory therapy research activities performed by caregivers and other team members. Collaboration and Clinical Development: Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary teams to further clinical knowledge and improve respiratory therapy practices. Participate in the development and refinement of respiratory therapy protocols. Serve as a liaison between Cleveland Clinic and external organizations, fostering partnerships and collaboration. Professional Development and Education: Coordinate and manage the Respiratory Journal Club to promote knowledge sharing and evidence-based practice. Organize and oversee the RT CRCE (Continuing Respiratory Care Education) lecture series. Represent Cleveland Clinic at the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) Conference through poster presentations, lectures, and other professional engagements. Mentor and coach caregivers, fostering professional growth and development within the respiratory therapy team. Operational and Project Management: Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Conduct device testing and evaluations to support innovation and clinical improvements. Minimum qualifications include: Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field with a minimum of six (6) years of related experience, OR Master's Degree with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Licensure and Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) licensure through the State of Ohio Medical Board. Technical Knowledge and Expertise: Strong understanding of respiratory research and the IRB process, including obtaining approvals and ensuring compliance. Previous and/or current critical care experience in respiratory therapy. Proficiency in statistical and financial analysis, primary research, and business plan development. Demonstrated ability to write and publish scientific research papers. Skills and Competencies: Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders. Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on evidence-based practice and innovation. Preferred qualifications: Experience presenting research or clinical findings at national conferences. Familiarity with device testing and evaluation in a clinical or research setting. Knowledge of emerging trends and advancements in respiratory therapy and critical care. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $40.48 Maximum hourly: $61.74 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
