Phlebotomist Position At Geisinger Lewistown Hospital
Geisinger Lewistown Hospital (GLH) is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team. This is a union position that offers a variety of tasks to support our mission of providing exceptional patient care through innovative, efficient, and high-quality laboratory services. As a phlebotomist, you'll be responsible for performing venipunctures and skin punctures on patients in our inpatient setting. You'll also support a varied patient population by troubleshooting physician orders, processing specimens for testing, and aiding our patients. Our labs have many different skill levels, from new to experienced phlebotomists, and we value all skill levels. We also have staff members who pursue their ASCP certification and become trainers for our department! Phlebotomist I, II, and III qualifications will be considered at appropriate compensation. Salary is commensurate with experience. Experience as a nursing assistant, certified nursing assistant, medical assistant, or similar will be considered. Military experience will also be considered.
