This Lockheed Martin Enterprise Operations (EO) position will support National Security Space programs in Sunnyvale, CA. Your mission as a Linux Information Systems Administrator will include: Technical support: Provide expert assistance to users in resolving technical issues with applications, connectivity, and other IT-related concerns. Cybersecurity expertise: Conduct environmental vulnerability scans, remediate vulnerabilities, and perform system hardening to ensure the security of our systems. Root cause analysis: Perform in-depth analysis to resolve technical issues in Linux environments, identifying and addressing the root causes of problems. System performance optimization: Analyze and assess server performance, storage capacity, and plan for future needs to ensure optimal system performance. Scripting and automation: Leverage your scripting skills to automate routine tasks, such as server and workstation patching, and streamline IT processes. Asset management: Oversee the management and control of Lockheed Martin assets and software, ensuring compliance with company policies. All work must be performed on-site in our secure facility in Sunnyvale, CA - and may include some occasional off-shift hours, weekends, and limited travel. Basic qualifications include: TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Polygraph Required (US Citizenship required at this facility) Ability to lift 30 pounds Must possess a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8572 qualified certificate (or obtain within the first 60 days of employment) Experience performing successful root cause analysis for problem resolution in Unix and Linux environments, with significant experience in: Installing operating routine server/workstation patches, system security patches and firmware updates Creating / managing security groups Coordinating hardware repair activities Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software problems/issues Creating scripts to automate system administration tasks Creating / editing Standard Operating Instructions (SOI) documentation Vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management [i.e., Nessus, Trellix, Splunk, SCAP, HBSS]) Desired skills include: Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Experience administering virtual machines with VMWare ESXi Experience with Solaris and CentOS Advanced proficiency in scripting (shell/Ansible) Experience successfully installing / configuring software applications and programs Experience providing support to operations groups requiring off-shift and possible travel Experience providing IT support in a multi-functional environment that includes software support, network and server administration Managing servers in a disconnected environment This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. The salary information is a general guideline only.
