Friday, standard business hours Job Summary: Are you passionate about bridging the gap between behavioral health and the justice system? Join our team as a Community Behavioral Health Liaison (CBHL) and play a pivotal role in coordinating services for individuals with behavioral health needs who have come into contact with law enforcement, courts, and correctional systems. As a CBHL, you will work directly with local justice entities, community mental health teams, and access crisis services to ensure seamless, person-centered care. healthcare and dependent child-care Health & Wellness Program Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee Discount Program Mileage Reimbursement Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with law enforcement, courts, and jail personnel Coordinate behavioral health services for individuals who come into contact with the justice system Work with local systems of care and Access Crisis Intervention (ACI) to support individuals in crisis Assist in developing and supporting Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) initiatives Provide referrals and support services to promote wellness among law enforcement personnel and their families Coordinate with municipal and circuit court systems to address behavioral health needs of justice-involved individuals Collaborate with jail staff and community partners to ensure continuity of care during and after incarceration Partner with the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Forensic Case Monitors to assist with community placements and transition planning Maintain accurate, timely records of all client services and system coordination activities Participate in team meetings, stakeholder planning, and trainings as needed Education and/or Experience Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field required Master's degree preferred Experience working with justice-involved or high-risk behavioral health populations strongly preferred Required License/Certification (one of the following): Must complete BASIC Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training (40 hours) within six months of hire Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of behavioral health systems, community resources, and justice systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills for multi-agency collaboration Ability to navigate complex systems of care and advocate for client needs Skilled in crisis response, problem-solving, and documentation Supervisory Requirements: None Brightli is on a mission: A mission to improve client care, reduce the financial burden of community mental health centers by sharing resources, a mission to have a larger voice in advocacy to increase access to mental health and substance use care in our communities, and a mission to evolve the behavioral health industry to better meet the needs of our clients.
