The work model for the role is: Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines. Performing work manually or by using light hand tools. Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process. Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area. Demonstrate the ability to satisfactorily perform in two (2) assembly work centers within an eighteen (18) month period. Ability to receive and understand verbal and written technical instructions and respond in English. The ability to read and interpret information from prints, factory orders, routings and other internal documentation in hard copy or electronic formats. Function safely in an industrial manufacturing setting where factory physical conditions exist, including shift work as required. Attendance and punctuality to company standards. Use the overhead crane/hoist. Use appropriate gauges and measuring devices. Have the knowledge of basic mathematics needed to measure in fractions of an inch. Meet quality and productivity requirements. Follow lock out/tag out and other safety procedures. Additional responsibilities: Conform to policies and procedures as an ABB employee. Perform housekeeping duties as required. Train, share knowledge & information with coworkers. Other duties/responsibilities as assigned. Physical requirements: The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. close to the body and 35 lbs. away from the body 60% of the time. More than 50 lbs. 40% of the time with assistance. The ability and willingness to use the company designated personal protective equipment. Visual acuity (corrected) to read directions, prints and gauges. Frequent bending, stooping, twisting and lifting (assisted and unassisted). Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to work in the factory environment (concrete floor, heat, cold, noise, allergies, etc.) Physically highly repetitive in nature.
