Engineering Technician I At White Sands Missile Range
Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is a progressive and well-established Department of Defense (DoD) contractor specializing in range operations and maintenance; weapons testing; facilities management; aerial, ground and seaborne targets O&M technical, logistics and other engineering support; systems integration; electronics and communications maintenance services; and a growing cybersecurity business. We are highly focused and, among other efforts, currently operate a dozen active test and/or training ranges for the Army, Air Force and Navy. Our team is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join our team in support of the Test Engineering and Analysis Services (TEAS) contract that provides non-personal services for test engineering and analysis, software development, and test support to White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). Specific functional areas include test planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of test results; data collection, management, and analysis; engineering and technical support; software analysis; Manpower and Personnel Integrations (MANPRINT); foreign national/media escorts; program management; and flight safety and systems engineering support services. SA-TECH is currently looking to hire an Engineering Technician I at WSMR to perform mechanical and electrical repair and troubleshooting on various equipment and systems. This includes routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance. Requirements: A High School diploma (or equivalent). Experience in electrical/mechanical repairs and troubleshooting. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The ability to frequently lift 50 lbs. Desired qualifications include: Knowledge of operating equipment, such as forklifts, manlifts, and scissor lifts, with a focus on safety. Knowledge of overhead/mobile crane operation. Experience pulling/backing a trailer. Knowledge of hand tools and their safe use. Knowledge of metalworking. Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment. U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a minimum of a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain the requisite security clearance throughout employment. All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
