Onground Adjunct Instructor for Teaching Mathematics, Science and Technology

Bank Street Graduate School of Education is looking for an onground adjunct instructor for fall 2025 for EDUC 836: Teaching Mathematics, Science and Technology: Curriculum, Methods and Assessment for Adolescents with Disabilities, 2 credits. This course will be taught on campus. Dates and times: Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00pm, September 3 - December 22 Course Description: An inquiry and problem solving approach forms an essential framework for the teaching of math, science and technology. This course examines assessment, curriculum and methods for developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating instructional strategies for students with disabilities, in the areas of math, science, and technology. It emphasizes teacher collaboration to support the differentiation of instruction based upon teaching structures, learner characteristics, learning environment, curriculum and standards. This course explores theoretical and practical frameworks for cross-curricular connections with access to the general education curriculum. Technology is both a subject of instruction as well as an instructional tool to support learning and communication. Qualifications: Master's degree in education required. Doctorate preferred. 5 or more years of experience teaching adolescents with disabilities in STEM curricular areas required. Experience working in public schools and with adolescents from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Experience collaborating with general education teachers in modifying and adapting curriculum. Experience teaching at the graduate level, preferred. Compensation: $4161
