Job Title: Student Worker-Volunteer Manager-Communities In Schools of the Heart of Texas Job Classification: Community Service, Student Department: Off Campus Community Service Hiring Manager: Antonia Holt Contact: aholt@cis-hot.org Work Schedule: Flexible between the hours of 8 and 5, Monday through Friday Desired Length of Employment: Fall and Spring Pay Rate: $12 Key Components: This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only. Provide support to Baylor Buddies student organization which provides mentoring services to students in CIS. This includes recruiting volunteers, providing volunteers with orientations that will equip them to be effective volunteers. Help provide services to tutors serving students in all subject areas. This includes providing tutors with orientations, periodic meetings and professional trainings that will equip them to be more effective and productive. Job Description: Work with local organization(s) or community partners Provide excellent customer service as a representative of the University May assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services or programs May assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community projects May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s) May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission Ability to comply with University policies Maintain regular and punctual attendance Employer: Baylor University Work Location: Communities In Schools of the Heart of Texas Work Address: 1001 Washington Ave
