with growth, opportunity and support every step of the way. Consult with directors, managers, and other staff on the preparation and implementation of policies and programs as assigned. Assist with the analysis and preparation of related applications and budgets. Serve on Hospital-wide or Campus-wide committees as needed. Assist with the development of the Capital Budget and maintain updates to PeopleSoft Fixed Assets. Perform yearly verifications of capital assets with Managers, Clinical Engineering, Facilities, and IT. Ensure accurate reporting and recording of accounting transactions. Perform monthly and yearly reconciliations and provide management reports to administration. Provide footnote information for external audited financial statements. Provide financial and clinical data to management of Affiliate organizations from IDX using the Cognos reporting tool. Oversee the reconciliation process and internal controls of cash handling and applications within the Patient Accounting systems. Work with Supply Chain staff and Inventory managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and internal controls for inventory. Prepare related monthly and yearly reconciliations of the inventory subsystem to the general ledger. Research and assist in the resolution of Inventory Cost Accounting exceptions. Work with Supply chain, Inventory managers, and the Controller's office to develop and document processes and procedures. Interpret related rules, regulations, codes, and policies. Implement or assist with the implementation of programs to ensure compliance. Perform other related duties within the Controller's office, including complex queries from the general ledger or patient accounting systems to help with the analysis of new programs. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired. Three (3) years of experience in a related field. One (1) year of experience may be substituted with successful completion of any section (AUD, BEC, FAR, or REG) of the AICPA Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's degree. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
