Security Gatehouse Officers are responsible for the security and safety of the resort, guests, associates, visitors, and vendors; and for providing exceptional service for our guests. Officers have the opportunity to interact with our guests and associates by assisting them with questions, directions, incident reports, problems, and in emergency situations. Responsibilities include: Use proper radio etiquette at all times. Handling access control at the gates by making sure only authorized individuals are allowed on property. Maintaining accurate logs of entering and exiting vehicles. Being observant and reporting any irregularities or concerns to the Security supervisors to investigate. Responding to emergencies within the resort as needed. Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of guests. Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger. Warning guests regarding unsafe situations. Completing incident reports as needed and/or requested. Supporting the front office operation. Qualifications include: High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred. Ability to physically deter individuals who pose a threat to employee and/or guests Must possess a strong dedication to excellent customer service Have a strong work ethic, and ability to work around sensitive material Must be able to stand and walk for long periods Must be able to work in Florida's hot climate for upwards of 8 hour shift Working knowledge of computer Must have open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as they are our busiest times.
