Temporary Accounting Specialist
A national leader in the logistics industry is looking for a Temporary Accounting Specialist to join their team in the Miami, Florida area. The ideal Accounting Specialist will have experience in accounts payable, month-end close processes, and overall general ledger activities. Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of invoices each week and ensure accurate coding and entry into the accounting system Assist with month-end close tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and proper application of credits Resolve invoice discrepancies and verify proper approval authorization for transactions Review, approve, and process T&E transactions in compliance with company policies Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and documentation for audits Correspond with vendors, reconcile vendor statements, and respond to inquiries promptly Collaborate with the accounting team to identify and implement process improvements Accounting Specialist Requirements:
2+ years of accounting experience, including accounts payable and general ledger functions Experience working in a large ERP system such as Oracle, EPIC, SAP, Concur, etc Familiarity with a 3-way match system for invoice processing Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment This company has grown exponentially throughout the global pandemic and is on track for even more growth in the coming year!
