Building Operations Associate

As a Building Operations Associate, you will provide support for setup and teardown of events and other spaces within the building. You will do well in this role if you have an eye for detail, enjoy being organized, and like to solve problems. This may sometimes involve furniture and workstation moves, as well as additions and changes to systems furniture and the workspace environment. In this position, it is critical to have a heart for serving others and a passion for hospitality, as well as being a friendly and humble team member as we contribute to our mission of releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name. Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion's ministry in prayer. Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ's mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion's Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion's internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur. Uphold and engage in Compassion's core Cultural Behaviors. Collaborates and supports the Workplace Experience team in completing the pre and post setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for daily events. GMC Amenities support: Vinyl signage throughout the workspaces, building newsletter, breakroom, and service center supplies. Supports new or existing office furniture setup and fixture assembly. Installs modular furniture pieces using correct assembly methods and follows required specifications. Coordinates moves for employees in collaboration with and in support of the Global Workplace team. Daily quality check of meeting spaces (For example: ensuring adequate seating for the listed meeting occupancy, making sure meeting spaces are clean, tidy, and ready for use.) Re-set rooms each day to the default layout. Supports the stocking and maintenance of break rooms as needed. May support the Compassion store. Including stocking, organization, check-out. Oversees the asset tracking of furniture items. Has an eye for details as it relates to the physical spaces to identify maintenance and repair needs. May lead and/or support small, various facility projects in collaboration with and in support of the Global Workplace team. Performs some cleaning tasks as assigned both inside and outside the building including tasks such as trash removal. Ensures the external areas are free from hazards and obstructions. Independently and in team structure completes assigned customer work order requests within service standard times as needed. A strong sense of hospitality and service to others is required. High school diploma Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks Excellent time management and organization skills Strong sense of hospitality Spirit of humility and service to others Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs, use a ladder, crouch, kneel, etc. Join a team that is motivated to release children from poverty in Jesus' name.
