Reliability Engineer
Our client, in Pensacola, Florida is a premium provider of Fibers and Polymers. They are urgently looking to fill a Reliability Engineering position. They need 3 to 5 years' experience out of the Chemical or Oil & Gas Refinery plants. SALARY- $110K-$150K plus 12% Bonus. Full Relocation Package. Nationwide search. No Sponsor. Must have Fixed Equipment Experience. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Reliability Engineer specializing in Mechanical Fixed Equipment for our dynamic team in Pensacola, Florida. This pivotal position involves implementing PCMS software, applying industry codes and recognized standards to support maintenance and capital projects, and developing comprehensive Inspection, Testing, and Preventive Maintenance (ITPM) plans for fixed equipment. A strong understanding of relief device systems will be advantageous. The successful candidate will manage testing frequencies and utilize Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies to enhance the Mechanical Integrity Program at the Pensacola site. Collaboration with maintenance teams, operating units, and various company sites to achieve high standards of operational excellence is essential. Key Responsibilities
Develop and document new ITPM scopes for all fixed equipment, focusing on probable failure modes identified through Damage Mechanism Reviews. Implement and manage processes for inspections, findings, and funding requirements for execution recommendations. Create a dashboard to monitor the health of all critical fixed equipment assets. Exercise ownership over the Inspection Monitoring Software - PCMS. Oversee the relief device inspection and testing program. Technical Expertise
Proficiency in applying API and ASME Codes. Develop detailed repair scopes for fixed equipment. Utilize API 579 for Fitness for Service evaluations. Leadership and Collaboration
Lead and report on the fixed equipment program. Set the strategic direction for the fixed equipment program. Collaborate within a team of reliability engineers, inspectors, and technicians to support manufacturing processes. Qualifications
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with relevant experience. 3 to 5 years of experience in the chemical, petrochemical, or refining industry, particularly with fixed equipment. Comprehensive understanding of continuous operations in a PSM-covered chemical plant. Desired Certifications
API 510, 570, 581, 653 Certifications. Licensed Professional Engineer. Required Skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. In-depth knowledge of applicable ASME and API Codes, including ASME Sections I and VIII, B31.1, B31.3, API 510, 570, 576, 653. This role reports directly to the Reliability Manager and is integral to ensuring the reliability and safety of our operations. We are looking for a proactive individual who is ready to take ownership and drive improvements in our fixed equipment program.
