Network Administrator II (Wan)

The Network Administrator II (WAN) will support the United States Air Force AFINC III program under the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS). The Network Administrator II will be responsible for performing advanced network installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise WAN infrastructure supporting Air Force Operations. In this role you will: Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, and harden routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches Analyze and simulate network traffic in both virtual and physical lab environments to assist with problem resolution and configuration validation Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth, report anomalies to government team leads Escalate complex network issues to Senior Network Administrators for resolution Develop, execute, modify, or remove scripts to automate routine network administration tasks Document all workload activity per incident or change request for auditing and investigation purposes Apply intermediate understanding of enterprise network architectures and configurations Notify appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair Required Clearance Must possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: 5+ years' experience Requires Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) IAT-II compliant through one of the following professional certifications: o CompTIA Security+ o GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) o SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner) o CCNA Security o CySA+ (Certified Cybersecurity Analyst) o CND (Certified Network Defender) C2 Essentials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
