The College of Engineering Information Technology office is currently seeking a motivated Web Developer who can work both independently and collaboratively. This position creates and deploys user interfaces (UI) for websites and web applications that improve user experience (UX) in alignment with the business objectives of a project, strategic direction of the University, and branding standards. Key Responsibilities: Works collaboratively with the project team, faculty, and or staff to conceptualize, design, prototype and build websites and web applications that define innovative user interfaces and interaction styles and patterns. Coordinates and conducts usability testing to identify and solve interface problems, and helps inform development of user-friendly web experiences. In addition, this position will analyze emerging technologies and implement them wherever it is most beneficial. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Technology & Systems. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of experience. Git, PHP or Python, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL experience is a must. Prefer experience with Docker, WordPress, as well as Bootstrap, React or similar framework. Computer Science or similar technical degree preferred.
